The Heavens Declare

Canon 5D Mark ll, 70-200 2.8L, 160mm  focal length, 1/100 shutter, 100 ISO  (the top two images were not saturated for color. God’s processing only.)

All my striving, all the voices, the pushing and shoving and chafing, they all close quiet in the presence of God.  I was grateful to find my smallness again tonight as the heavens declared the glory once more. He is God and I am not. Finding my place, my heart settled into Him and rested. He is big enough and brave enough and loves me enough to handle things. He is God and I am not. What a relief.

Thank you, Father.

Psalm 46:10 ~ “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 19: 1-4 ~ “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”

I have a new blog!!! I wanted larger images and a more earthy feel to my pages. If you miss my old blog you can still access it here.

First of all, I would like to say thanks to my beautiful and talented designer, Sheryl Mangold of  huiadesign.  She  is a rare gem in the industry. I met  her on the iStockphoto forums several years ago, when I was trying to  figure out my first website and business card design. She lives in New Zealand. From across the world, we have worked on projects for my business and become friends. She is so intuitive and she just gets me. Every time I ask her for a new design, she seems to know exactly what I am looking for. I highly recommend her! Love my new blog!!!

Secondly, the night sky rocked my world last night and I just had to try to capture it. With my camera on a tripod and and my wide angle lens, I got just a few of God’s magnificent sky. Then, Johnny and I had to play a bit. We had fun trying different techniques to capture flash and ambient light at the same time, and maybe getting him some slamming profile pictures at the same time.

Great night.
