Huck Finn aptly describes Chris. I knew we would be friends when I first saw him wear Chuck Taylor black high top sneakers. Our lives have been enriched by both of you, and your entire family.
As I looked at your pictures and read what you did, a scripture came to mind.
“Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”

Thank you Mary Anne for a wonderful gift. You can give me many things, but the gift I truly cherish is to see the beauty and love in the lives of my children. Your words and pictures are beautiful expressions of love and you made my day. I love you both so much and am so thankful for having you as my “daughter” these 23 years. So beautiful, Mary Anne! We celebrated our anniversary this past week also, and I am learning God’s beautiful lesson that when you do love His way it just keeps getting better, and that you can’t even imagine how…He loves to surprise us with His goodness!

That was beautiful. You use the gifts God has given you so well. I don’t get overly excited when I watch new love begin. I guess I have been around too long and seen too much to know that the love that lasts is the love that grows over many years with God right in the center of it. That is what you and Chris have fought for and won. The world needs more stories like this. What a gift to your kids – one they will not truly understand or appreciate till years from now when they see how hard it is but how worthwhile fighting for it truly is. We celebrate 30 years in October and enter another stage of our marriage as we become grandparents. I, too, couldn’t imagine doing life without my David. Thanks for taking the time to share your special day. It touched something deep within me. This is truly what God intended for His children. . .and the two shall become one flesh.
