365 project 2016

Day 95 Constant

Constant

Constant

I am walking under the night sky again. I skipped a day again yesterday on this project. I am in a tough season and I am learning grace for myself. I was very weary with too much on my plate. I figure I can make up those days in January of 2017 if the Lord carries me that far.

I come back to the stars when I need to sense God’s faithfulness. He is constant like the stars against the shifting clouds. He does not change. Circumstances and people change. He never does.

I admit it, I am bit whipped. Raising nine puppies and doing a 365 project (while dealing with the loss of my mother) feels like too much. I can hear my mom telling me to rest. So I will.

I miss you so Mom.

Deuteronomy 33:26,27 ~”“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”

    Read this morning in Streams in the Desert…there is a perfect passivity that is not laziness. It is a living stillness born of trust. Quiet tension is not trust but simply compressed anxiety.
    “Be still and know that I AM God”.
    “O rest, in utter quietude of soul,
    Abandon words, leave prayer and praise awhile;
    Let your whole being, hushed in His control,
    Learn the full meaning of His voice and smile.
    Not as an athlete wrestling for a crown,
    Not taking Heaven by violence of will;
    But with your Father as a child sit down,
    And know the bliss that follows His “Be still!”

    Selah and shalom,
