Dan And Amy ~ A Colorado Engagement

Sometimes things just work like magic. I knew we might get to see our dearly loved friend, Dan Self, on our Colorado vacation last week. What I didn’t know was that he was planning to ask  his beautiful girl, Amy, to marry him that same week. When we met him for lunch in Glenwood Canyon, he told us the exciting news. My next words were, “Hey, you need an engagement shoot!”. Never before have I done an engagement shoot on such short notice and with no planning at all. It was bliss. They came to visit us the day after their engagement, and after answering all our excited questions and some ice cream at the local Marble Slab Creamery, we found some railroad tracks and a river surrounded by glorious mountains. (Only in Colorado).

I had so much fun! And the Cottonwoods! I had never seen Cottonwood trees before, and they were releasing their beautiful cotton-like floaties into the air. It looked like a fairy tale. Once again I put Johnny to work and he jumped into the nearest tree and shook it to make it look more glorious! We were all yelling, “Shake it, Johnny!”. So funny. So magical. So fun.

Be blessed and happy Dan and Amy! I hope to see you and Colorado again VERY soon!  :)

IMG_2123copyAnnie and I had SO much fun shooting Cory and Cami’s engagement photos at Piedmont Park last weekend. Before the shoot, we did some dreaming about what they wanted to do and what they loved. Eventually, we landed on the whole idea of doing a vintage shoot. I was so excited as that was something I have really wanting to try.  It was something we did at Love Affair this last fall. ( wow did I LOVE that workshop!) I had been wanting to try some new things but hadn’t had any real takers with my couples. Then came Cory and Cami! I love this couple! They are so fun and enjoy each other and life so much. This is part of what makes my life so enjoyable. Working with wonderful people who so openly and comfortably love one another.

I never had to pose them. We just gave them a few props and let them go. They did  the rest.

I pray many blessings on this beautiful and sweet couple and am so thankful I get to shoot their upcoming wedding in March.

Enjoy their sweet pictures~

I adore this couple and am so happy to be part of their journey towards marital bliss. They are so wonderful on so many levels and a joy to be with. This post is a bit overdue as we shot these over the summer! We had so much fun! I am looking forward to their wedding next May. Blessings and joy, Scott and Lauren. Breathe and enjoy this season as much as you can.

Jeremy and Jasmine are the cutest. I absolutely loved my time with them last week. The first destination for our shoot was Chow Baby, a restaurant in Atlanta where they had their first date. The manager there was kind enough to allow us to come in before the lunch rush to get some special shots.

From there we just explored. We found all kinds of delightful places in Atlanta, including an old yellow caboose in a metal junk yard. We had so much fun!

Blessings, you guys. I can’t wait to be part of your special day in November. To be continued…
