Day 63 Flowers with Katie

March 14, 2017

My Wildflower

Today Katie and I went to a little flower market in Athens where 3 Porch Farm was selling the first ranunculus of the year. It was a cold and rainy day here in Georgia but we were ecstatic to go. We love beautiful flowers and ranunculus is in our top five favorites. When we drove up we were both excited to see what they had left. They had only been open for 30 minutes and all the poppies were already sold. Undaunted, we each selected three bundles of ranunculus before heading into 1000 Faces Coffee for a cappuccino. It was the absolute highlight of my day spending quality time with my Katie girl and these brilliant little blooms.

We are in full swing getting ready for Annie’s wedding here at our house. Hence, I am behind on this project. I have come to a place of peace with it though. Being kind to myself in the midst of such a busy season is the best thing I can do for myself and my family. If you follow my project, I hope you don’t mind. This blog is a place of rest for me. I untangle the threads of my heart here and find God’s still voice in the process. Thanks for meeting me here.

Thanks Katie girl for bringing some color and joy into an otherwise dreary day. I love you. You are the loveliest flower on my list.

xoxo

I agree with you – this blog is for you, enjoy! While goals are good, sometimes we need to relax a bit and just enjoy. You have a lot on you with Annie’s wedding coming up – be gentle with yourself, enjoy what feeds your heart!

Love your blog and How you show us to look for the tender mercies in “ordinary” moments. I subscribed but am not receiving updates. Any suggestion She?
