Day 37 Daffodil Hill

February 6, 2017

Daffodil Hill

Little translucent blossoms, how are you so brave?

Surely you know that winter has not passed and yet you courageously open one by one until the hillside is covered in sunshine. One snap of winter’s remembering fingers and you would unfurl no more. Why aren’t you more careful?

Ah, there is no care in worship is there? Only surrender. The warmth and light of the sun has drawn you forth and you have no choice but to open wildly and unashamed.

And we are all better for it.

Thank you sweet daffodils. You shine in your vulnerability. You preach to us in your wild worship. There is a Savior and he must be adored. It begins while we are bound down deep and carries us up and out into the glorious open.

Abandon fear and worship with the daffodils.

Psalm 65:8 ~”The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.”

Sweet Surrender
